For us, this report is more than just a document. It is a reflection of our daily work \u2013 and a commitment to what we have yet to achieve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

When we began compiling this report, we did not always grasp the full extent of the work involved: the sheer volume of data, the number of discus\u00adsions, the many deci\u00adsions that are almost invisible in the day-to-day yet are revealed here for the first time. It is this that fills us with pride \u2013 not because every\u00adthing is perfect, but because we had the courage to be accountable: openly, honestly, and with a commitment to improvement. This is our first sustain\u00adability report of this scope, and for us, it marks an important step from mere commitment to genuine respon\u00adsi\u00adbility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\t\n \n\t \t\t \t\t\t\t\t\n\n\"\"\n\t\t\t<\/picture>\n\t <\/div>\n\n\n\n \n \n

\n \n Sustain\u00adability is not a project. It is a process.<\/span>\n \n\n<\/svg>\n<\/span>\n <\/button>\n <\/h3>\n \n \n\n

What drives us in our daily work is the conviction that sustain\u00adability is not a checklist to be ticked off. It is an ongoing learning process \u2013 one of progress, setbacks, and ever-new insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t

Achieving our goals is a long-term \u2013 and never-ending \u2013 process. This philosophy funda\u00admen\u00adtally shapes our work. We do not rely on grand announce\u00adments, but on concrete, trans\u00adparent steps. We prefer to be prag\u00admatic and effective rather than theo\u00adret\u00adi\u00adcally perfect. Because ulti\u00admately, sustain\u00adability does not thrive on reports, but on the processes and people behind them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n \n

For us, sustain\u00adability is not an abstract oblig\u00adation but a question of mindset. And this mindset is not demon\u00adstrated through grand gestures, but in the everyday: in conver\u00adsa\u00adtions with colleagues, in the small deci\u00adsions that, together, make a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

For Luana, it is partic\u00adu\u00adlarly important that sustain\u00adability does not remain behind closed doors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t

Sustain\u00adability isn\u2019t just important for our own processes \u2013 it\u2019s also a powerful way to raise awareness among guests and staff about using resources more consciously. This is exactly what we expe\u00adrience every day: when a conver\u00adsation in the kitchen leads to a new approach to food waste. When a house\u00adkeeping team member offers a better idea. When a guest asks ques\u00adtions and truly listens. It is these moments that inspire us more than any metric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

This report docu\u00adments where we stand. It presents key figures, measures, and targets. But it does not reveal every\u00adthing: not the countless small deci\u00adsions made in daily life, not the behind-the-scenes discus\u00adsions, nor the moments when disagreement gave way to consensus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

That is precisely what sustain\u00adability is all about. It does not just happen in the report \u2013 it happens in the kitchen, in house\u00adkeeping, in procurement, in building services, and in every conver\u00adsation with colleagues, guests and partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

We would like to thank everyone who is walking this path with us \u2013 and espe\u00adcially Anabel Gschmei\u00dfner and Damian Wirth from the Terra Institute, who have supported us so wonder\u00adfully in producing this first sustain\u00adability report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
